They offer the latest equipment, the Fresenius 2008K machine and were the first center in the tri-state area to equip their facility with this state of the art equipment. At New York Artificial Kidney Center, we do NOT re-use dialyzers. The safety and quality of the treatment is always a priority; so is the total well being of each and every patient. The staff is highly experienced in dialysis. Both nurses and patient care technicians have 7-15 YEARS of experience in dialysis. The staff speaks English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and French just to name a few.

The six doctors at this center are well known and respected in the nephrology community. Dr. Shyan-Yih Chou together with Dr. Warren Shapiro, the medical director, are co-chiefs of the division of Nephrology and hypertension and are in charge of the postgraduate fellowship program at Brookdale University Hospital. Dr. Warren Shapiro has been chosen as one of the best Nephrologists by New York Magazine three years in a row. He has over thirty years of experience in dialysis and is well known and respected by his peers and patients. |
